ORIX Group has been developing and investing in various types of real estate since the 1980s. We entered into the asset management business*1 to enhance the added value of real estate with a wide network and high level of expertise. We are currently developing our asset management business through J-REIT*2 and private fund management companies.

  1. 1Asset management business: a business that manages and operates a variety of investment assets, including financial assets and real estate on behalf of companies. As for the real estate, it examines strategies for improving added value, such as property renovation and attracting tenants, and develops financial plans.
  2. 2J-REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust in Japan): an investment trust that manages the real estate acquired based on funds entrusted by investors, and that distributes to the investors the profits obtained from the rent income.

ORIX Real Estate Nishi Shinjuku Building

ORIX Real Estate Nishi Shinjuku Building

With the goal of reducing CO2 emissions in the entire ORIX JREIT Inc.’s portfolio, the power company of the ORIX Real Estate Nishi Shinjuku Building (office) was changed (post-change power company: ORIX) and the entire amount of electricity used at the property was switched to electricity derived from renewable energy sources with a zero CO2 emission coefficient. In addition to reducing CO2 emissions, the switch is expected to attract tenants with a strong interest in ESG.

Hotel Universal Port Vita

Hotel Universal Port Vita

Located about a two-minute walk from Universal-City Station on the JR Yumesaki Line, the property is expected to benefit from growing inbound tourism demand in the Kansai region alongside the adjacent Hotel Universal Port, owned by ORIX JREIT Inc. It is operated by ORIX Hotel Management Corporation in collaboration with other ORIX Group companies.
